GSC loves DJS!

Since the beginning of raves, there has always been that special bond between the DJ and the Raver. As glowstickers, we all have that moment where the DJ drops the special track that takes us to the zone where even floor stalls are hot. As party goers, it is the DJs that can change our night from good to great. Promoters, bartenders, security, dancers and vendors all play an important role in a rave, but how many of them “ripped it sick,” so much that you told your friends about it the next day?

As Glowsticking.com has grown, more DJs have joined our site, added to the site’s diversity, promoted our ideals, and most importantly, rocked out in venues around the world. For those brave talented few that get into the booth and work their magic, we would like to speak for all ravers and ravers–at–heart and say: “Thank you for all the time, money, and effort you put in to make the raves we crack sticks at so amazing.”

And for the active DJs posting on our site – it's time we gave you guys some props, and we are going to start with TeddyGlow.

Based in Queens New York with No Drama Stateside, Knuckle Up Entertainment and Glowboy Productions, TeddyGlow has been spinning tracks since the early age of 12. Trance was the first genre he spun and then years later he moved to harder styles, like hardtrance and hardstyle, with plans to add electro and house to his DJ resume. Even though he is based in New York, TeddyGlow is starting to make a name for himself along the East Coast with shows in Maryland and Philadelphia. A glowstringer <link to his youtube stringing video>, Teddy joined our site in April 08

Teddyglow was busy in the month of October with two parties
Spooked 10/25 and Ghostbusters 10/31 and you can listen to his DJ sets on his website.

I pray that some more Dj's or possibly even these guys decide to make a trip to the Southern US region!
We need much more of the energy and genre down here!!

I've so long been trying to find a club or venue that plays even techno-related tracks.. but hardly anything but rap/r&b.

Definately nice topic and props to all the Dj's out there, from the superstars to the local spinners..
We all have to start from somewhere ^ ^

p.s.
i know everyone can pretty much agree but i'd also love to be a DJ.. I learned a little bit about spinnin' in Florida, and obviously fell more in love w/ the genre of music and the act of creating and extending music..
I'd love to get back into it, but duno where to start - I heard pawnshops are good places to find maybe used turn-tables.. but where to get other things, like vinlys or the needles u need etc.. 'cause I know some of that stuff brand new is like 800-1,000$$.. thats a bit much if u're just getting started O_o

I totally agree that Dj's make that light show THAT much better. when i'm in the zone and the DJ Drops the track that just takes you to another world with stringing and free hand!!Last weekend in phoenix, Az Rave Wars had amazing music that kept the party going all night... not once was there a dj we got bored with that night.. the set up was amazing too.. and on the night i colaborated freehand with stringing and was told by fellow ravers that my light show was the best they had seen in a long long time!!!The Party was amazing!

I'm totally up with giving props to the DJs. I'm a really musical person, so when the right track gets spun my way it just puts me in the zone. Cheers to anyone who's got the guts to get up there and steer a whole room of people with their music.
