How to make an Orbit PDF

This article details how to assemble an orbit using standard photons.

Terms will add more as questions arise.
Charging - This is just the act of just spinning the string so that tension is built up in the string. With certain strings you can feel how much you have charged. Charging(along with hand movements) decide what designs you make.
Pull(happy.gif) - Simple you pull on the ends of the strings.
Slack - how much extra string you allow the orbit to have after a pull.

Beginning
With my beginning experiences with orbits, I remember that my fingers would hurt a lot. You will get used to this after time. If it keeps hurting try using better key rings. Also have some back up extra strings. The constant twisting and pulling of the string slowly deteriorates it and causes for some minor difficulties with your orbit.

Lets start off with the first thing you need to learn. CHARGING ! ! ! This will be how you make the designs you want. Charging is just spinning the orbit and allowing tension to build up in the string. The amount of time you spend charging decides what designs you make. I prefer to count how long I have been charging for rather than trying to "feel" it in the strings.

Now that you have charging down. Lets move to pulls. How you pull on the strings after a charge is the other factor that decides what designs you create. At the moment I pull the strings in only about 3 different ways.
1) Just straight out pulling hard leaving no slack for the string.
2) Pulling lightly and giving the string slack.
3) Giving a quick tug, then slight slack, then pulling hard again.

Don't think you're limited to just spinning and charging. You can also swing. Just pull your hands together and swing like you would when your glowstring. Of course with only one string you can only do wraps such as arm, leg, neck and well basic traces.

"Moves"
Since we all use different strings the amount of charging for certain moves may be different.
Spiral - Charge your orbit at an above average speed for about 5 seconds or until you feel a good deal of tension building up. Then give a quick tug on the string and give the string some slack. The orbit will now rotate into a spiral and to complete the design slowly remove some of the slack by pulling.
(more moves to come when i make an orbit again)
Dont know what to call it - This is something I worked with today. Charge up your orbit and pull. Bring your hands together and pull again. Repeat the last step. The orbit should continue to spin. You can keep this up for as long as you want. I'm still thinking of ways to utilize this.
